1. Introduction
Welcome to Sharda Quiz RCS (Rich Communication Services) Messaging Service. These Terms of Service (“Terms,” “RCS Terms”) govern your use of the RCS messaging services provided by Rank Guard EdTech (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) for the Sharda Quiz mobile application (“App,” “Service”).
By opting in to receive RCS messages, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may opt out of RCS messaging at any time as described in Section 5.
These RCS Terms work in conjunction with our general Terms and Conditions (available at https://shardaquiz.com/terms-and-conditions/), Privacy Policy (available at https://shardaquiz.com/privacy-policy/), and Fair Use Policy (available at https://shardaquiz.com/fair-use-policy/). In case of any conflict between these RCS Terms and our general Terms and Conditions, these RCS Terms shall govern matters related specifically to RCS messaging.
2. Description of RCS Messaging Service
RCS (Rich Communication Services) messaging is an enhanced messaging protocol that allows us to send you interactive, multimedia messages directly to your mobile device. Our RCS messaging service is designed to enhance your experience with Sharda Quiz by providing timely, relevant, and interactive communications.
2.1 Message Types
We send the following types of RCS messages:
Transactional Messages:
- Authentication Messages: One-Time Password (OTP) codes for account verification and login
- Security Messages: Password reset notifications and security alerts
- Account Notifications: Important account-related updates, changes, and alerts
- Billing/Payment Information: Purchase confirmations, payment receipts, subscription renewal notifications, and transaction details
- Welcome Messages: Account activation confirmations and onboarding information
- Autopay Reminders: Notifications about upcoming automatic payments and subscription renewals
Promotional Messages:
- Educational content and learning tips
- Feature announcements and app updates
- Special offers and promotional campaigns
- Study reminders and motivational content
- New feature introductions
2.2 Message Features
Our RCS messages may include:
- Interactive buttons for quick actions
- Rich media content (images, videos)
- Links to relevant content within the App
- Structured information for easy reading
- Real-time updates and notifications
3. User Consent and Opt-In
3.1 Consent Requirement
Your explicit consent is required before we can send you RCS messages. By opting in, you agree to receive transactional and promotional messages as described in these Terms.
3.2 Opt-In Methods
You can opt in to receive RCS messages through the following methods:
During Registration:
- You may provide consent during the App registration process by checking the appropriate consent box or accepting the RCS messaging terms
Through Settings:
- You can enable RCS messaging at any time through the App’s Settings screen
- Navigate to Settings > Notifications > RCS Messaging to enable or manage your preferences
Consent Confirmation:
- Once you opt in, you will receive a confirmation message acknowledging your consent
- Your consent preferences will be saved and can be managed through your account settings
3.3 Consent Scope
By opting in, you consent to receive:
- All transactional messages necessary for App functionality and account management
- Promotional messages subject to the frequency limits specified in Section 4
- Messages sent to the phone number associated with your Sharda Quiz account
3.4 Withdrawal of Consent
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You can opt out using the methods described in Section 5. Withdrawal of consent will not affect:
- Messages already in transit
- Your ability to use the App (though some features may require transactional messages)
- The validity of actions already taken based on previous consent
4. Message Frequency and Limits
4.1 Transactional Messages
Transactional messages are sent as needed for App functionality and account management. There are no limits on the frequency of transactional messages, as these are essential for:
- Account security and authentication
- Payment and billing operations
- Important account notifications
- Service-related communications
4.2 Promotional Messages
To ensure a positive user experience and prevent message overload, we limit promotional messages to:
- Maximum 4 messages per month per user
- Messages are distributed evenly throughout the month
- We respect quiet hours and avoid sending promotional messages during late-night hours (based on your local timezone)
4.3 Message Scheduling
- Messages are typically sent during business hours (9 AM to 9 PM in your local timezone)
- Urgent transactional messages (such as OTPs) may be sent at any time when necessary
- We avoid sending promotional messages during quiet hours unless explicitly requested by you
5. Opt-Out Mechanism
You have the right to opt out of receiving RCS messages at any time through multiple convenient methods:
5.1 Opt-Out Methods
Method 1: Reply with STOP Keyword
- Simply reply to any RCS message with the keyword “STOP” (case-insensitive)
- You will receive a confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out
- Your opt-out will be processed immediately
Method 2: Through App Settings
- Open the Sharda Quiz App
- Navigate to Settings > Notifications > RCS Messaging
- Toggle off RCS messaging to opt out
- Your preferences will be saved immediately
5.2 Opt-Out Scope
When you opt out:
- Promotional Messages: You will immediately stop receiving all promotional messages
- Transactional Messages: You will stop receiving promotional messages, but may still receive critical transactional messages necessary for:
- Account security (OTP for login, password reset)
- Payment and billing notifications
- Important account-related alerts
Note: Some App features may require transactional messages to function properly. If you opt out of all messages, you may need to access certain information through alternative methods within the App.
5.3 Partial Opt-Out
Through the App settings, you may be able to:
- Opt out of promotional messages while continuing to receive transactional messages
- Customize which types of transactional messages you wish to receive
- Adjust message frequency preferences
5.4 Re-Opt-In
If you have opted out and wish to start receiving RCS messages again:
- You can re-enable RCS messaging through the App Settings at any time
- Navigate to Settings > Notifications > RCS Messaging and toggle it on
- You will receive a confirmation message upon re-opting in
6. Data Collection and Privacy
6.1 Data Collected for RCS Messaging
To provide RCS messaging services, we collect and process the following information:
- Phone Number: Your mobile phone number associated with your Sharda Quiz account
- Message Preferences: Your consent status, opt-in/opt-out status, and messaging preferences
- Consent Records: Timestamp and method of consent, opt-out requests, and consent withdrawal records
- Message Delivery Status: Information about message delivery and engagement (opened, clicked, etc.)
6.2 Purpose of Data Collection
We use the collected data for:
- Sending RCS messages as per your preferences
- Managing your consent and opt-out preferences
- Ensuring message delivery and improving service quality
- Complying with legal and regulatory requirements
- Preventing fraud and ensuring account security
6.3 Data Retention
- Consent Records: Retained until you request account deletion
- Message Preferences: Retained until you request account deletion or change your preferences
- Phone Number: Retained as part of your account information until you request account deletion (as specified in our Privacy Policy)
- Message Delivery Data: Retained for service improvement purposes and in compliance with applicable regulations
6.4 Data Sharing
We do not share your phone number or messaging preferences with third parties for their marketing purposes. Data is only used for providing RCS messaging services and as described in our Privacy Policy.
6.5 Privacy Policy
Your use of RCS messaging is also governed by our Privacy Policy (available at https://shardaquiz.com/privacy-policy/), which describes in detail how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information.
7. User Responsibilities
7.1 Accurate Information
You are responsible for:
- Providing an accurate and current phone number for RCS messaging
- Updating your phone number if it changes
- Ensuring that the phone number provided is registered to you and you have authority to receive messages on that number
7.2 Compliance
You agree to:
- Use RCS messaging services in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not attempt to abuse, spam, or misuse the messaging system
- Not share your OTP codes or authentication messages with unauthorized parties
- Protect the security of messages received on your device
7.3 Device Requirements
To receive RCS messages:
- Your mobile device must support RCS messaging
- Your mobile carrier must support RCS messaging
- You must have an active internet connection
- You must have the Sharda Quiz App installed and your account active
8. Service Limitations and Availability
8.1 Service Availability
- RCS messaging services are subject to your mobile carrier’s RCS support and network availability
- We do not guarantee that RCS messages will be delivered in all regions or through all carriers
- Message delivery may be affected by network conditions, carrier restrictions, or device capabilities
8.2 Alternative Communication
If RCS messaging is not available for your device or carrier:
- We may use alternative communication methods (SMS, in-app notifications, email) for transactional messages
- Critical account notifications will be sent through alternative channels to ensure you receive important information
8.3 Message Delivery
- We strive to deliver messages promptly, but delivery times may vary based on network conditions
- We are not liable for delays in message delivery beyond our reasonable control
- Failed message deliveries may be retried automatically for transactional messages
8.4 Data Charges
- Standard data charges may apply for receiving RCS messages based on your mobile carrier plan
- RCS messages use data connectivity; ensure you have an active data connection or Wi-Fi
- We are not responsible for any data charges incurred by receiving RCS messages
9. Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use RCS messaging services for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or interfere with the messaging system
- Share authentication codes (OTP) with unauthorized parties
- Impersonate Sharda Quiz or Rank Guard EdTech in any messaging
- Use the messaging service to send spam or unsolicited messages
- Violate any applicable telecommunications or messaging regulations
10. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to:
- Modify, update, or discontinue RCS messaging services at any time
- Change message frequency limits or delivery methods
- Update message content formats and features
- Implement new messaging capabilities
We will notify you of significant changes to the RCS messaging service through:
- In-app notifications
- Updates to these Terms
- Messages sent through alternative communication channels
11. Termination of Service
11.1 Termination by User
You may terminate RCS messaging services at any time by:
- Opting out using the methods described in Section 5
- Deleting your Sharda Quiz account (which will automatically stop all messaging)
11.2 Termination by Company
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend RCS messaging services for users who:
- Violate these Terms
- Abuse the messaging system
- Provide false or inaccurate information
- Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
11.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- You will stop receiving RCS messages (subject to Section 5.2 regarding transactional messages)
- Your messaging preferences will be saved for future reference
- You may re-enable messaging services if termination was not due to Terms violations
12. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
12.1 Service Disclaimers
- RCS messaging services are provided “as is” and “as available”
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted, secure, or error-free messaging service
- Message delivery is subject to carrier networks and third-party service providers
- We are not responsible for messages not received due to carrier restrictions or device limitations
12.2 Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, RANK GUARD EDTECH SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any delays, failures, or errors in message delivery
- Any damages arising from carrier network issues or device limitations
- Any unauthorized access to messages if you fail to protect your device
- Any data charges incurred from receiving RCS messages
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages related to RCS messaging services
12.3 Third-Party Services
RCS messaging relies on:
- Mobile carrier networks and their RCS infrastructure
- Third-party messaging platforms and services
- Device manufacturers and their RCS implementations
We are not responsible for the availability, performance, or reliability of these third-party services.
13. Compliance with Regulations
13.1 DLT Compliance
Our RCS messaging service complies with applicable Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) regulations and requirements in India, including:
- User consent requirements
- Opt-out mechanisms
- Message content guidelines
- Data protection requirements
13.2 Regulatory Compliance
We comply with all applicable laws and regulations governing:
- Telecommunications and messaging services
- Data protection and privacy
- Anti-spam regulations
- Consumer protection laws
13.3 User Compliance
Users must comply with:
- Applicable telecommunications laws
- Anti-spam regulations
- Data protection requirements
- All other relevant local, state, and national regulations
14. Changes to These Terms
14.1 Right to Modify
We reserve the right to modify, update, or change these RCS Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through:
- Updates to the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document

- In-app notifications or messages for significant changes
14.2 Acceptance of Changes
Your continued use of RCS messaging services after changes to these Terms constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may opt out of RCS messaging as described in Section 5.

Material changes that require your attention may include:
- Changes to message frequency limits
- Changes to opt-out procedures
- Changes to data collection or retention policies
- Changes to service availability or features

17. Acknowledgment
BY OPTING IN TO RECEIVE RCS MESSAGES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT:
- You have read and understood these Terms of Service for RCS Messaging
- You consent to receive transactional and promotional RCS messages as described
- You understand how to opt out at any time
- You understand your data will be used as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy
- You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- You understand that some App features may require transactional messages to function
These Terms of Service for RCS Messaging are effective as of 1st December 2025 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in their provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on our website with appropriate advance notice.
